Anna Podkościelna-Cyz, a graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków in the cello class of Adam Klock (2003). For over twenty years, she has been playing in the Con Affetto String Quartet, which she founded in 2005, and Tarnów Chamber Orchestra. Since 2003 she has been the leader of the cello group, as well as a soloist. During concert tours, she visited, among others China, the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Apart from classical music, her musical interests include theater and entertainment projects. Since 2017, she has been cooperating with the Filarmonia Futura – an independent music project, taking part in all the events and concerts produced by it throughout the country (Warsaw, Łódź, Szczecin, Poznań, Toruń, Kraków and many others). Her great passion is also performing tango, since 2016, together with the Con Affetto Quartet, she has been regularly cooperating with the outstanding Polish accordionist / bandoneonist Klaudiusz Baran. She has made a number of CD recordings, including premiere recordings of a contemporary American composer of Polish origin – Henryk Derus (2015-2017) and premiere recordings of works by August Duranowski (2016). In addition to instrumental activity, she finds herself as a conductor and leader of vocal choirs and amateur groups (Tarnowski Choir Gos.pl 2005-2015, Solski Choir – operating at the Ludwik Solski Theater and a folklore group operating with a 75-year tradition Zespół Pieśni I Tańca”Swojacy”).
