The artists started their music journey 19 years ago and for this day remain constantly convinced that music is best created when it is … a mutual passion.

The name of the band “Con affetto” from Italian means “with feeling”, because emotions are the main driving force behind every note they play together. Con Affetto has been active since 2005, playing concerts in many interesting and prestigious venues, including Filharmonia Świętokrzyska im. O. Kolberga in Kielce, Filharmonia Podkarpacka im. A. Malawskiego in Rzeszów, Europejskie Centrum Muzyki Krzysztofa Pendereckiego in Lusławice, Opera Śląska in Bytom, Dworek I. J. Paderewskiego in Kąśna Dolna.

Quartet has an extensive and varied repertoire, from classical, through interesting arrangements of film and musical to performances of contemporary music. A special place in Con Affetto’s repertoire is occupied by tangos, performed by them with great passion and with particular love for this artistic expression. Cooperation with the outstanding Polish accordionist / bandoneon player Klaudiusz Baran turned out to be extremely inspiring in this respect, which resulted concerts, including the jubilee 20th International Accordion Meetings “Sanok 2018” and the 12th BARBAKAN Festival in Krakow.

Con Affetto artists constantly develop their musical interests by systematically participating in recordings, orchestral and theatrical projects as well as concerts by Polish entertainment bands. For three years, they have been cooperating with the independent Polish philharmonic – FILHARMONIA FUTURA – taking part in all the events and concerts produced by it throughout the country (including Warsaw, Łódź, Szczecin, Poznań, Toruń, Kraków, Rzeszów and many others).

The group has made premiere recordings of the discography of a contemporary Polish origin American composer – Henryk Derus, which apart from the mainstream performance – classical music of earlier eras – remains a great fascination and passion of the group. Con Affetto can be heard on albums by other artists, incl. the excellent vocalist Anna Lasota – soloist of the Musical Theater in Poznań (“Essence” 2019), or the eccentric pianist Daniel Grupa (“Before the night comes”, 2021).

In spring 2015, Con Affetto took part in the film production of the Dutch director Mieke Bal, performing the music for the film and trying its acting skills. (premiere – April 2016). In 2019, quartet visited the People’s Republic of China on tour where they promoted Polish music and culture. The jubilee year of the 15th anniversary of Con Affetto was emphasized by the recording of the quartet’s first solo album (“Tango Affetto”, MediaPixel / 2020) with the participation of distinguished musical guests – accordionist, Maestro Klaudiusz Baran, violinist Paweł Wajrak, soprano Anna Lasota, accordionist Paweł Kusion and vocal band MONK.

CON AFFETTO’s motto?

The most important and the most noticeable and appreciated by the audience is that the band, both on stage and outside it, remains a phenomenal combination of four energies and elements, which interpenetrate creating a resultant of the full picture of female nature … After all, MUSIC is a WOMAN.
